The Hope Renewed Youth Conference 2011 will be held from June 24-26, 2011. Friday, June 24 & Saturday, June 25 sessions will be held at River Plex Recreation. The conference will begin on Friday with registration and an ice breaker session from 1:00-2:00 pm. Saturday’s session starts at 8:30 am with registration. A town hall meeting will be from 10:15 am – 12:00 pm, Journal Star Columnist, Pam Adams will be the moderator. The conference will conclude on Sunday, June 26 2011 at Illinois Central College Performing Art Center with a 6 pm concert.
The theme for this year is “Thirsty.” The cost is $10 for all three days. Pre-registration will be from now through May 22, 2011. Hope Renewed Youth Conference is targeted toward young people between the ages of 11 – 18 years of age. The keynote speaker on Friday night is Reginald Bullock of Memphis. TN and Saturday’s luncheon speaker is Dr. Clarice Ford of Springfield, IL. Along with the speakers and town hall meeting the young people will participate in a series of workshops.
Concert artist are: God’s Nation & Conference Choir, Elijah Hinton, Gigi Burrell, Wesley, Warren & Cross Reps, and our featured artist will be Mona J and The Go In Band, from Portsmouth Virginia.
