I don’t know about you, but when I’m out around town, I’m constantly frustrated by how long it takes to load my Facebook.

Usually if I want to post a photo of something cool, said cool thing has already happened and I’ve missed out on Internet fame.

Thankfully, those days of slow Internet on your phone are numbered.Verizon is one of the first wireless carriers to bring their “4G LTE” to the Peoria area and some surrounding Central Illinois towns. The company says that 4G speeds will be ten times faster than 3G. That’s pretty fast.

They’re not the only 4G game in town, though,as T-Mobile already has what they call a “competitive 4G experience” setup in town. If you have T-Mobile, you’ll have to let me know how much of an experience that is.

AT&T plans to jump on the 4G train soon and get the fast Internet on your phone sometime before the end of 2013. Which is practically forever. They’ll probably have the iPhone 10 out by then. With 10G.

Anyway, it’s nice to know that we’re being included in the wireless technology upgrades, because as time goes on, we’re only going to want our HD YouTube videos and Facebooks up and loaded faster as we become more glued to our phones.

Not only are Justin Bieber and Usher good friends, they are also competitive as well. When the R&B crooner held his one-day run in the off-Broadway production of ‘Fuerza Bruta’ to preview his new album ‘Looking 4 Myself,’ Biebs came through to support his boss.

While Bieber thought he was there to enjoy a show, Usher had other intentions. Midway through his performance of ‘Scream,’ Usher challenged Bieber to a dance battle for dance-floor supremacy. “[We] brought him to the middle of the dance floor, and we got it in,” he recalls to MTV News. “But we always show support for each other like that. We was housing a little bit.”

Usher takes great pride in watching Bieber evolve into a pop superstar. At 18 years of age, Bieber has been able to achieve his dreams and surround himself with some good people. “Cool part about it is, he’s really able to live a dream that I think most teenagers would want to,” says Usher. “To be able to have friends like [Floyd] Mayweather — they are actual friends, hang out, talk — it’s really cool to be able to have friends all around the world and people that can relate to your reality.”

“I don’t think Michael [Jackson] had people like that,” he continued. “I didn’t have a ton of people like that. I had Puff. I had JD [producer Jermaine Dupri] … but to be able to have friends all around the world that keep you, it’s cool.”

Sadly, Usher reveals that a Justin Bieber and Usher duet is still in the works. “We actually have the first phase of both of our albums, which the song will not be featured there but stayed tuned,” he said. “We want to make sure it’s perfect. Neither one of us wanted the hoopla of it just being a publicity moment. When it’s finished it’s going to be an incredible [song].”

For my basketball season… The Bulls are out and Derrick Rose is going to be out for a while.  Maybe this guy can help us.  Actually, no.  No he can’t.

This is probably the most exercise this plump fella has gotten in quite some time.  And he suuuuuure seems to think that he can dunk it.  But then gravity takes over.

Then he hits the padded mat…. and takes a nap.

It looks like he is trying to give her the bean.  Then he busts out some (what to me looks like) break-dancing moves.  But, no matter what he does, he can’t seem to get her to feel the same way.

This video is absolutely “TOOOOOO CUTE!”  Ladies… be careful watching this.  Your ovaries my have a cute overload seizure.

Following in the footsteps of Jay-Z, rapper T.I. also supports President Obama’s recent announcement of his support for states to legalize same-sex marriages. The controversial issue has sparked plenty of non-stop debates between gay advocates and political pundits.

For the Atlanta rapper, gay marriage is a matter of a personal choice and holds no bias on the hot-button topic. “Just to speak honestly and being frank, I don’t care,” said T.I. on Wednesday’s episode (May 16) of RapFix Live. “I think that if a matter doesn’t affect your daily life, you shouldn’t take a hard stand on it. If it’s not something that directly affects you, if it doesn’t affect you, what difference does it make to you what other people are doing with their lives?”

“I think that you should be able to do whatever you want to do,” he continued. “I don’t see how it matters one way or another.”

As we previously reported, Jay-Z co-signed with POTUS’ stance on same-sex marriage during an interview with CNN.

“I’ve always thought it as something that was still holding the country back,” Jay said. “What people do in their own homes is their business and you can choose to love whoever you love. That’s their business. It’s no different than discriminating against blacks. It’s discrimination plain and simple.”

When Jay-Z was asked if he felt Obama’s decision to support gay marriage would cost him votes, he shrugged it off. “I think it was the right thing to do,” he said. “So whether it cost him votes or not — it’s really not about votes, it’s about people. So whether it cost him votes or not, I think it was the right thing to do as a human being.”

There are hundreds of Beastie Boys tributes on the Internet, including our favorite ‘Sabotage‘ clip by some adorable kids. But a cool video recently surfaced of a rare unaired performance from the trio.

Oh No They Didn’t posted a video of the Beastie Boys performing ‘The New Style’ on ‘Chappelle’s Show.’ Originally, the show’s co-creator Neal Brennan posted it on his YouTube but was taken down by Viacom due to copyright issues. According to Brennan, the performance was slated for the third season of ‘Chappelle’s Show’ but never aired after Dave Chappelle abruptly quit the show.

In the grainy video, the Beasties are performing ‘The New Style’ outside in the dead of winter. WTF? Dressed in heavy coats, the trio performed their sample-heavy track next to the Brooklyn Bridge and the Statue of Liberty. Although it was cold outside, the Beasties were heating the mics up with their back-and-forth wordplays. Props to Mixmaster Mike for his superior turntable skills and switching up the beat near the end of the song.

Overall, the Beastie Boys showed how much they love hip-hop and the city of New Yawk. It’s a wonderful tribute to their late member Adam ‘MCA’ Yauch.

Fans have been waiting with bated breath for The-Dream to drop the fourth installment of his ‘Love’ series, and it looks like it’s coming real soon. The hitmaker has penciled in Aug. 14 as the release date for his new LP ‘Love IV MMXXII.’

For those who may not be familiar with Roman numerals, the ‘Love IV MMXII’ stands for “Love 4 2012.” Clever, huh?

The collection is the follow-up to his free album ’1977,’ which he released last summer under his government name, Terius Nash. ‘Love IV’ will feature guest appearances from Mary J. Blige and Gucci Mane, according to Idolator. He already released the LP’s teaser single ‘Kill the Lights,’ which features his R&B protege Casha.

The-Dream made a formal announcement on Wednesday (May 16) via his Twitter page that ‘Love’ is in the air.

“LOVE IV is the BEST Album I’ve made. I don’t care what the sales will be,” he tweeted to his fans. “I will do my best to Challenge your Taste And Knowledge.”

“I will Leave no Holes in this Album Period, no room to be Hated only Adored or simply just say ‘you don’t f— with me,’ he continued. “But what U won’t Say is Dream Album is Mediocre or Sucks. I will Never Be your Star I’m [too] G and [too] Westside for that.”

He then finished his Twitter rant with, “I will never Sellout Arenas because since ‘Love Hate’ I didn’t Sellout! And no matter how much you hate me you got to Respect that!”

We’ll have to wait and see if The-Dream will get some R-E-S-P-E-C-T come August.

On tonight’s (May 17) results episode of ‘American Idol,’ which determined the Top 2 for Season 11, Joshua Ledet was eliminated and sent home. It’s the end of the road for Ledet on ‘Idol,’ but don’t fret for him. He will likely be scooped up to an Interscope record deal courtesy of show mentor Jimmy Iovine as soon as he gets backstage and has a second to breathe.

Much like Adam Lambert, who performed on tonight’s episode and placed second during his season, this is not the last we will hear from JL.

Ledet was certainly a consistent judge’s favorite, grabbing standing Os with great frequency, as well as being an audience fave. He was a PopCrush fave, too, for the way he would rip off his jackets while performing. It was a charming move.

For his ‘Idol’ stage swan song, he sang ‘It’s a Man’s Man’s Man’s World,’ reminding us why he made it to the Top 3 of Season 11 in the first place.

With Joshua Ledet eliminated, that means Jessica Sanchez and Phillip Phillips will go head-to-head and voice- to-voice on next week’s two-episode finale, which takes place on Tuesday, May 22 and Wednesday, May 23, respectively.

It’s going to be quite the battle between those two, since she’s the powerhouse diva and he’s the outstanding artist that pretty much owns the female vote. It’ll be interesting, that’s for sure.

So you’ve probably heard the rumors about Kanye West and Kim Kardashian dating.

Looks like it’s true, and he’s gonna be on the Karadashian’s reality show.According to Kim’s sister Khloe, her and ‘Ye are like two peas in a pod. If that pod was a pod of crazy peas, I guess she would be right.

The Kardashians dropped a teaser trailer of what’s to come in the season premiere of “Keeping Up With The Kardashians,” and it looks like Kanye well actually be in the show here and there.

Yesterday some street teamers and I headed to Logan’s Roadhouse for some food and fun, like eating their hottest wings and giving away some Power gear. Check out the photos!

So in addition to maxing on some appetizers and hanging out with the staff, I also was giving away Power gear to people who would eat Logan’s hottest wings with me.

Seems like most other people could eat a hot wing with little trouble; however this is what I looked like while eating one:

I am officially a baby when it comes to hot stuff. Still, Logan’s was a blast, thanks for having us!

A women in Superior, WI not only offered to sell off her ex-husband and his junk, but she also tagged a GMC Yukon with lots of bright graffiti and bad words. There’s also a flat tire on the vehicle. Warning: the photos are NSFW. But they sure are funny, as she calls him out for being a “cheater,” “a douche” and a “f—er.” We almost feel sorry for the car.

Not since Linda Barrett got revenge on Mike Damone and his (what-looked-like-a-Gremlin) car in ‘Fast Times at Ridgemont High’ for impregnating her BFF Stacy by spraypainting “prick” on the door have we had such a hearty laugh at a scorned woman expressing her rage and wrath on a vehicle. You’ve never…go watch it right now. We’ll wait.

Local radio station MIX108 and its quick snapping photog captured the images, including ones of the cops arriving on the scene around 4PM to inspect the debris. There was also a pile of ash on site, which would indicate that the angry woman set her ex’s things on fire and that which she didn’t burn, she left strewn in a heap.

The truck was removed about an hour later, but his stuff remained on the lawn. Everyone has to air their dirty laundry once in a while and express their rage, but this mess makes the property values plummet!

Nope, we can’t stop humming that Carrie Underwood song either.

When you’re buying sunscreen, do you look for words like ‘waterproof,’ ‘sweatproof’ and ‘sunblock?’ If so, don’t bother — they may not be as bulletproof as they seem.

Last year, the FDA mandated that sunscreen manufacturers had to stop using the above descriptions because no product is truly waterproof or sweatproof, and even the best sunscreens don’t completely block harmful rays. And although the ban was supposed to be in place this summer, makers now have until this winter to comply.

Products claiming to be ‘waterproof’ or ‘sweatproof’ will have to prove it with standard testing and state exactly how long a product will stay on the skin after being exposed to water or perspiration.

In addition, terms like ‘sunblock’ will be replaced with ‘broad spectrum’ as long as a product has an SPF rating of at least 15 and protects the user from both UVA rays (associated with skin cancer) and UVB rays (which can cause sunburn).

That said, sunscreens on the shelves are still effective and the FDA encourages their use, saying, “The ingredients in FDA-approved sunscreens marketed today have been used for many years, and FDA has no reason to believe these products are not safe.”

Nicki Minaj romances rapper Nas and dances with Chris Brown in the video for her lovelorn ballad ‘Right By My Side.’ She also makes tons of her trademark goofy faces, which is always entertaining to watch. But be warned: This is the explicit, NSFW version.

Minaj tweeted the link to the vid, and it reminded us of when she ditched Twitter for a hot second. Feels like so long ago.

Minaj pretty much keeps to one hair style and length in the video, which is rare for her, given her colorful assortment and array of wigs. She’s boasting stick-straight, platinum locks and dagger nails, as she’s seated, singing and reminiscing about her man, played by Nas. As always, she is adorable.

As for Nas? Well, in this video, he’s a generous boyfriend. He gifts her with a gold coin that she tosses into a fountain, presumably for a wish, and a sweet set of black wheels topped with a huge pink bow, of course — as if any other color would suffice.

There’s flashback scenes of the happy couple eating and shopping and being affectionate. It’s realistic enough to have us wondering if there’s a little something something between the rappers in real life when the cameras are off.

Minaj’s scenes with Breezy have their own element of cuteness. He sings alone at first and then the two of them dance and make funny faces while singing the serious lyrics. The have an easy and, pardon the pun, breezy chemistry.

For the most part, Minaj does an excellent and believable job as a woman in love and missing her man. Her face says it all and there’s a genuine sadness in her eyes.

When Nas returns at the end, they share quite a kiss. It’s one that everyone will be buzzing about, simply because it didn’t look like acting. It was a passionate liplock. Expect “New Couple Alert” news stories in the tabloids as this kiss is viewed over and over.

On tonight’s (May 16) episode of the penultimate week of Season 11 of ‘American Idol,’ the final 3 — Joshua Ledet, Phillip Phillips and Jessica Sanchez — sang a trio of songs for three rounds of competition. One was chosen by the judges, one by the contestants themselves and one by series mentor and Interscope Records chief Jimmy Iovine. It was a whole lot of singing with a lot on the line, as the final two competitors will be determined in 24 hours. Hello, nail biting situation!

Here’s PopCrush’s recap on how the ep shook down.

JOSHUA LEDET:

Everything he did tonight was good and Gospel-flavored. He leaves it all on the stage, with his natural ability to sing and to perform. He adds touches, like ripping off his jacket and his inner ear monitors. He’s a total package. We’d be shocked if he goes home. Seriously.

Judge’s Choice: He slayed Etta James’ ‘I’d Rather Go Blind,’ nailing every single sweet spot. Out of 70,000 contestants, there is only one ‘Idol’ and he sang like he was the one. Hard to beat, for sure.

Personal Choice: He showed us he can do subdued with his soulful rendition of The Beatles‘ ‘Imagine.’

Jimmy Iovine’s Choice: Mary J. Blige‘s ‘No More Drama’ is the perfect marriage of R&B and church, and since J. Lo is like the male Mary J., the song played to all his strengths. He sang with a Gospel fire and came alive on the stage, ripping off that jacket.

JESSICA SANCHEZ:

She is going to have a long career in music since she has such a money voice. Her youth, though, make us think now is not the right time for her. That said, she continues to rack up flawless performances that are predictable. When she gets a little more life lived in her, that “edge” we desire will manifest itself. Overall, though, Bebe Chez can sing her patoot off and we predict massive things for her.

Judge’s Choice: The belter and last female standing offered up a beautifully refined rendition of Mariah Carey‘s ‘My All.’ She showed restraint and a quiet tenderness. We can’t deny it was pretty, even though it lacked any sort of edge.

Personal Choice: She went the ballad route with Aerosmith‘s ‘I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing.’ She hit all the notes but it wasn’t anything particularly moving. She struggles to “connect,” despite performing in flawless fashion.

Jimmy Iovine’s Choice: The Jackson 5′s ‘I’ll Be There’ was her Iovine selection and she once again delivered a quality rendition and showed off a soulful tone. It lacked that “WOW! OMG!” moment.

PHILLIP PHILLIPS:

The girls love him, and he is artistic, yet does his own thing without catering to anyone else. He also goes off the melody of his songs and twists them to create something unique. But tonight, for his final performance, he stuck to the melody and had the moment. If he’s not in the finals, it’ll be criminal.

Judge’s Choice: He owned the melody of Madcon’s ‘Beggin’,’ a song you likely never heard. While the DMB comparisons haunt the double P, he is a true artist and the way he handled the mid-section of the song had us buying what he was selling. Steven Tyler said once he writes his own songs, he’ll be a new age Boss, as in Bruce Springsteen. HUGE compliment.

Personal Choice: He sang Matchbox 20′s ‘Disease,’ giving it a bit of a funky, jazzy feel. Only Phillip Phillips can turn radio rock into something totally fresh and new. However, the judges hated it.

Jimmy Iovine’s Choice: The song has a great melody and an emotional and romantic timbre, but the masculine quality was the reason that Iovine chose Bob Seger‘s ‘We’ve Got Tonight.’ It played to PP’s male and female fanbase. We can sum it up in one simple word: SWOOOOOOOOON! Dressed in black and singing while seated, Phillips showed us a tender, leading man side. His voice changed shape and he ventured into new territory. The ending where he harmonized with the choir? We got goosies, J. Lo. 

Tune in tomorrow night (May 17) at 8PM on FOX to find who the Top 2 will be. PopCrush has been struggling with our prediction, but we’re going to thinking the final will feature Joshua Ledet vs. Phillip Phillips.
