Dear Central Illinois and the Peoria Chiefs,

THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH!

Last night the Peoria Chiefs took on the Beloit “Buttscratchers.”  Unfortunately, the Chiefs lost 6-5, but the night was a success.  Before the game, I managed to shave half my eyebrow off… but it didn’t matter.  Because we had a GREAT turn out for ORyan Field night and we helped raise money for the Jamieson School in Peoria.

I volunteer at Jamieson twice a week, and everyone at that school has become my friend.  These kids have changed my life.  It is thanks to YOU and the Peoria Chiefs that we got an opportunity to make a difference in their lives.  For that, I am greatful to YOU for showing support for these kids and the Peoria Chiefs.

I got jiggy with Homer (the Chiefs mascot), did the chicken dance, got to hang out with my friends from Jamieson, and enjoyed a beautiful night.  It truly was amazing.

Thank you again to everyone who was there, and the Chiefs.

If you’re a germ freak, I’m sorry.

You may want to go out and buy some of those sanitary wipes after you hear this. You know your computer mouse? The one that’s in your hand right now?

Science says it has more germs on it than a toilet seat.Three times more than a toiler seat, to be exact. A company called Initial Washroom Hygiene did a study by swabbing a ton of different office items, like desks, chairs, door handles, keyboards, et cetera. They found that the dirtiest thing by far is the computer mouse.

They blame all the germs on eating at your desk, and then the crumbs attract bacteria and other gross things. So I guess if you go out for lunch, then your desk is cleaner?

Plus, think about it. You touch everything with your hands, and then you touch your mouse. Therefore, everything you touched ends up on your mouse.

God help you if you have only one computer that you share with multiple people at work. It’s probably best to burn that one.

It’s only logical then that the next dirtiest thing at your office is the keyboard.

It’s not the same between sexes, either. They found that guys have way dirtier desks than girls. But you probably knew that already, didn’t you?

Easiest way to clean up your desk? Every Friday, right before you leave, or as soon as you get to work on Monday, take a few sanitizing wipes and just wipe everything down.

Oh yeah, and definitely don’t lick your mouse.

NightStorm Teen Dance Club returns to Peoria June 4,2012!!!

Imagine living next door to a yard so covered in trash, you can see it from a satellite. It’s visible on Google Maps. A man with a hoarding problem is creating havoc on a quiet East San Jose street and it has been going on for decades. His entire yard looks like it was hit by a hurricane and all the debris was just dumped into the yard. Neighbors to this trashy house finally got tired of looking at trash every time they look through their back window so they called the police and the fire department in order to solve the problem. So, despite all the hype surrounding probably the most famous baby in the world, we really haven’t seen any pics of Blue Ivy Carter.

Well, that was true until last Friday, when Jay & Bey let a handful of pics loose on Tumblr.Along with a thank-you message for respecting the family’s privacy, five pics of the newest addition to the Carter family dropped on Tumblr last Friday. They’re pretty touching photos, and you can see the joy in both Jay-Z’s and Beyonce’s eyes for their little bundle of joy.

I’m guessing we won’t be seeing any other pics of the babers for quite a while, so I hope these last.

Intern Chads Shopping Spree

Intern Chad was so bad at finding clothes to wear that our Power 92.3 fashion consultant took him shopping to give him an idea of what he should be wearing! Check out the result after the jump!!

So, over the weekend, Sarah Argo (the power 92.3 fashion consultant), and I decided to go and find a nice outfit for me to wear, to break my bad dressing habits. I have to give props to Sarah, because she had about four different outfits for me within 10 minutes of being there!! So, I was a little nervous to try on all of the different things that she had picked out for me, but the overall outcome is “fun and spontaneous!” according to Sarah. Tickets are still available for the Disney Classic Fairytales Show at the Peoria Civic Center!

One of the few times you and your significant other can agree on a show to watch on TV, on November 29th, is the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.

Not only was there a plethora of underwear models, but Nicki Minaj, Jay-Z, and Kanye West all performed.

Turns out, it was a good night for lingerie and music.I don’t know why, and maybe you can explain it to me, but it seemed that wings were a big part of the outfits at the fashion show. They cost a pretty penny, too. Turns out the whole show cost $12 million to put on.

The show sounds like it was totally worth it though, because while the models were strutting up and down the stage, Kanye and Jay-Z performed, along with Nicki Minaj and Maroon 5.

The Fashion Show premieres on November 29th on CBS. Set your DVR now.

The MTV Europe Awards took place last night in Belfast, Northern Ireland – and the show proved to me that Europe is way crazier than us. Check out who won and who wore what!

The red carpet was only the start of what would be a star-studded crazy night in Belfast.

So because it’s Europe, you’d think that a lot of European artists won, but people like Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, and Coldplay cleaned house. Also, there were quite a few American performers that lit up the night, like Bruno Mars, Lady GaGa, and Jessie J.

Lady GaGa won big, Queen got a special award and presentation for their impact on the music world, which was pretty cool; Justin Bieber also won big with his first EMA and performance.

I’m not the only one who think so – there’s a company out who will take your kids’ drawing and turn it into a custom stuffed animal.

Child’s Own Studio is an online company where they capture the imagination of your child and turn it into something real. It’s one thing for a kid to draw some fantastical images, but think about all the different fabrics and intricate sewing they have to put into each doll.

Turns out the company’s got a great idea…they’re backed up with orders all the way through January already.
